We have two inspirational and amazing speakers in 2017. These are Anna Turney and Jen Rolfe. And we also have an excellent Master of Ceremonies in the form of Simon Smith.
Anna Turney became paralysed in a snowboarding accident in 2006. She got back on snow, won World Cup medals and represented Great Britain in two Paralympic Games, achieving Britain’s best ever Alpine Skiing result in Women Sitting in Sochi 2014.
Inspiration and steadfast focus around her passions enabled Anna to turn a paralysing injury around, achieving international success in a short space of time.
Anna uses compassion and positivity to motivate others, stimulating skill development and success. Discover positivity, develop resilience and achieve your goals. You too can choose triumph over adversity!
Jen Rolfe is the founder and Director of Practically Positive, a training company that specialises in applying positive psychology in the workplace. Working with clients all around the UK, Jen and her team use positive psychology to help them improve employee engagement, well-being and resilience for individuals and teams in the workplace.
Jen’s original research dissertation around employee engagement, “What does it mean to flourish at work?”, is now one of her primary offerings and has been used by the General Medical Council, Friends Life, Sweaty Betty and The Cabinet Office.
Simon is an Accountant at Wellers. It will be his seventh year as Master of Ceremonies at BWIB. Simon commented “I am a keen supporter of women in the business community. It remains an honour for me to be considered worthy of such an event.”
